I added two pounds during this holiday season.
Let's see:
Was it the wine? Earthquake Zinfindel (GREAT!), Ravenswood Petite Syrah (good!), the Marquis de Riscal Rioja (good enough). -- You see I like red wine. Next time, I'll have to stick to whites.
Was it the cognac, single-malt Scotch, or the apple brandy?
Perhaps the sugar cookies, or the chocolates (from See's Candies, which are my favorite), or the home made brownies?
As you can see, I succumbed to temptation frequently during this holiday season. To gain only two pounds may be a good sign. And today, I have stuck to my plan and when I go in for my next check-in, I will be back to where I was and moving toward a steady maintenance program.
Thanks to the holidays for some great treats and comfort foods. Now, another twelve months to go before I indulge like that again!
